For more than a decade, Donald Cloyes Wagda has represented individuals seeking services from private and government agencies, providing knowledgeable and compassionate legal advocacy to families facing unique challenges.
Since entering private practice in 1990, Cloyes has become a recognized leader in representing individuals with disabilities and their families. He educates clients and protects their rights under programs and laws such as the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), Social Security, Supplemental Security Income (SSI), the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), and the Lanterman Developmental Disabilities Services Act.
In addition to an impressive record of success—with favorable outcomes achieved in the vast majority of his cases—Mr. Cloyes possesses exceptional professional credentials. He is admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of the United States, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, the U.S. District Courts for the Central, Northern, and Southern Districts of California, and the state bars of California, Ohio, and Massachusetts. Mr. Cloyes earned both his undergraduate and law degrees from George Washington University. He previously served in the Office of the General Counsel of the United States Air Force in Washington, D.C., and has provided legal services to a number of public-interest organizations, including the Children’s Defense Fund.
